One of the Few Times Ray Caved and Admitted I was Right!

Those who have stubborn partners, you know how sometimes you need to document when they admit you were right!

This is one of those times . . .

For years our Sundays consisted of Ray cutting the grass. No biggie, right?

Except it’s not just cutting the grass, is it? It’s taking out the weed whacker, the edger, the leaf blower to blow away clippings, emptying the mower into the clippings bin . . . You get the idea. The idea being that something that seems like it shouldn’t be complicated really and truly is more than just “cutting the grass.”

And how long do you think this process took? Literally half of a Sunday! And by the time he was through, he was understandably tired and wanted nothing more to relax.

Why is this a big deal? Weekends are family time and our time to go out, try new things, and have adventures.

I begged him for years to hire a lawn service. He stubbornly refused to pay someone to mow our less than third of an acre yard, until one day . . . he caved!

And do you know what happened? WE got our Sundays back!

So many people, and not always incorrectly, view money as the most precious commodity. But there is one commodity greater that cannot even be bought. . . and that is TIME.
